Getting support for your child

If you need to speak to your child’s teacher/school about putting in place an IEP Plan focused on addressing reading and writing, this guide developed by Sharon Scurr from Dyslexia Evidence Based (deb) is an excellent starting point. Lots of tips on things to consider and suggest to the teacher and ways to approach and support teachers to get them on board.

Read the guide: here.

Also this slideshow/video presentation by Tarryn Pratt on the research behind the science of reading and developing an IEP Plan for dyslexic students is also very informative.
